Alternatives
Avoid single-use coffee pods and use a french press to avoid any filter use. Buy coffee that has either a Rainforest Alliance, Fair Trade, or Organic label. Coffee grounds can also be used to get rid of gophers by placing the grounds in the burrows.

Coffee grounds are a great source of nitrogen for any compost pile.
