Accepted materials include: batteries, fluorescent bulbs, paints, adhesives, auto additives, pesticides, herbicides, some misc. chemicals, prescription and over the counter medicines (except for controlled substances). Does not accept asbestos, railroad ties, treated wood (arsenic). Also operates facilities located in Fremont, Hayward, and Livermore, which are each open on certain days for drop off.
