Instructions
If paper bag is clean and dry, then place in blue recycling cart. If bag is greasy or food-stained, put in black landfill cart.
Alternatives
Bring a reusable bag (cloth, paper, or plastic) or hand carry items if you’re only picking up a few things.
Facts
Paper bags can only be recycled a handful of times. They're made up of long fibers that get shorter each time it's recycled, making each bag less durable and strong, and more difficult to recycle the next time.
