The Biofuel Oasis Cooperative was founded in 2003 to provide greater access to biodiesel: a renewable, locally sourced fuel that reduces harmful tailpipe emissions. Since then they have grown into a vibrant urban farm store that sells beekeeping supplies, chicks, chicken feed, and more, and teaches urban farming classes. They are a worker-owned & operated cooperative that values sustainability, local production, and community. Accepts used vegetable oil donations.

AVOCURL was created out of a dorm room by Founder, Jasmine Curtis, who was tired of products that left her hair dry and contained harmful ingredients. Her handmade creations quickly replaced her other products as she started to see the results of using natural ingredients in her hair like avocado, coconut, banana, and aloe vera. The products are handmade in small batches, never tested on animals, and contain certified organic ingredients.
An eclectic range of books offered at very low prices. Proceeds go to the Berkeley Public Library. Accepts donations of books, tapes, videos, CDs, and DVDs. No LPs and no magazines, please, except for National Geographic or Architectural Digest. All items should be in good condition. The bookstores are staffed by more than one hundred volunteers.
